Teacher's Aide

Job Summary:

Glory Christian School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Teacher’s Aide. As a Teacher’s Aide, you will work closely with the classroom teacher to provide support and assistance in creating a positive learning environment for students. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the educational growth and development of students at our school.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the classroom teacher to assist in planning and implementing educational activities and lesson plans.
Provide support to students in various classroom activities, including small group work, individual instruction, and classroom management.
Support the teacher in monitoring and assessing student progress, documenting observations, and providing feedback.
Aid in the preparation and organization of instructional materials, including worksheets, lesson plans, and visual aids.
Assist students with their assignments and provide additional guidance or explanations as needed.
Foster a nurturing and supportive relationship with students, promoting their social-emotional well-being and positive self-esteem.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure a coordinated approach to student support and achievement.
Help with the supervision of students during lunch, recess, field trips, and other school activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in education or child development is preferred.
Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, students, and parents.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of students and the classroom environment.
A positive attitude and a commitment to promoting a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
